Daniel Vanek Sets School Record in GVSU Win at SVSU Feb 5, 2011

The #7 Grand Valley State men's track and field team claimed an 84-48 win over Saginaw Valley State on Friday afternoon (Feb. 4) at the SVSU vs. GVSU Duel Meet in University Center, Mich. The Lakers recorded 10 first place finishes, while junior Daniel Vanek set a new school record in the shot put. Grand Valley State will host the GVSU Big Meet next weekend (Feb. 11-12) starting at noon on Friday.

#1 Laker Women Earn 90-48 Victory Over SVSU in Track Action Feb 5, 2011

The #1 Grand Valley State women's track and field team defeated Saginaw Valley State by 42 points on Friday afternoon (Feb. 4) at the SVSU vs. GVSU Duel Meet in University Center, Mich. The Lakers recorded 11 first place finishes and were lead by sophomore Sam Lockhart's two first place finishes. Grand Valley State will host one of the biggest meets in the Midwest next weekend (Feb. 11-12) starting at noon on Friday.
