Oak Park Produces Big Results In Dual Meet With Southfield

           Oak Park produced eight Michigan No. 1 results in their dual meet with Southfield. 

Oak Park made an early season statement during their recent dual meet with Southfield, as the perennial track powerhouse from the greater Detroit area secured eight new state No. 1 results.

In boys action, Donnie James looked to be in mid-season form, as the senior recored fast times of 10.86 and 49.33 to win the 100m and 400m contests.  James' 100m effort represents a new pr. 

On the girls side, Aasia Laurencin claimed the 100m hurdles and 200m victories with her times of 14.43 and 25.83, respectively.  Jada Roundtree dominated the 400m race, as the freshman won by a seven second margin.  Her time was 57.60.  In the 300m hurdles event, Miyah Brooks posted a first place time of 46.45. 

Team relay competition saw Oak Park score emphatic wins in the 4x200 and 4x400m races.  Their times were 1:44.89 and 4:11.51.
