Oakland University's Rachel Levy collected a pair of top placements at last week's WMU Ice Breaker Dual in Kalamazoo. The former Midland representative went sub 5 minutes (4:59.50) for the 1 Mile victory and she earned a runner-up finish in the 3000m contest due to her 10:12.57 effort.
In three meets so far this season, Levy has taken three race wins and a second place showing. She established her 5000m pr of 16:48.87 at last month's SVSU Holiday Classic. The 2015 high school grad took sixth during her senior year at the D1 State Championship in the 1600m event, where she posted a time of 4:58.74. She went on to compete for Team Michigan at the Midwest Meet of Champions.
