Maddie Meyers of The Northwest School & Jacob Smith of Wenatchee head the girls' & boys' field at the Jim Danner elite races.
They may go to track meets & pay no attention to the race, as they swill their mixed drinks, but the old boys at the IAAF are willing to poniticicate on what makes are ceord in women's distance races. Nice work guys!

Much to choose from this week with Kendra Weitz & Maddie Meyers going 1 -2 at Sundodger & Nathan Weitz & Jacob Smith did the same in the boys' race. Amy-Eloise Neale blew away the course record at South Whidbey & Anthony Armstrong launched a successful invasion of Oregon by running away with the New Balance title. Korey Krotzer & Jordan McPhee led the way at Fort Steilacoom.
Paige Rice and her St. Mary's team mates tuned up for their date in California in Saturday's Stanford Invitational with a Mt. Hood/Three Rivers League Cross-Over victory. Nathan Meeker of Oregon City led the boys' runners.

Kendra Weitz & Maddie Meyers went 1 -2 in the girls race with times of 17:21 & 17:27, while Nathan Weitz topped Jacob Smith in the boys' race with a brilliant 14:33. Smith's time was an impressive 14:41.
Katie Markwick & Maggie Coleman of Hermiston
Jackson Baker and Maggie Coleman won individual victoriesc, and the Hermiston girls won the team title. Franklin closed the gap in this race on Hermiston but the Bull Dogs won 39 to 45.
Paige Rice & Kyle Thompson both ran impressive early season times to secure victory against a reasonably large field.
Zach Holloway became only the fifth known runner to break twenty minutes on the course & Morgan Anderson joined a select list of runners, who have been able to break twenty-four minutes on the course known for it "Monster" hill.
Union girls at Hermiston
Katie Knight & Anthony Armstrong are but two of the Northwest stars making national-level noises on the courses.
The Hermiston guys made an early statement by defeating Franklin but Jackson Baker proved that he will be a formidable individual force. Katriel O' Reilly was impressive on a hot day, as she prevailed over Katie Markwick.
Claire DeVoe won her second invitational of the season & Justin Rocereto of Southridge claimed the boys' title.
Karen Qu of Sunset won her first invitational by running 20:17 on a ninety degree day. Nathan Brown led the guys with his time of 17:13.
Nick Obletz of Oregon Episcopal defeated Mohammed Hussein & Dan Oekerman of Beaverton to claim the boys' individual title, while Alexandria Cross won the girls' crown topping Emily Weber of South Salem.

Week Four action in the Northwest saw Allie Ostrander win once again - this time at Colony. Jackson Baker & Claire DeVoe won their divisions at Wilsonville
with the best times of the day & Paige Rice was impressive as well.
Jackson Baker of Franklin set a course record as he won the Wilsonville Night Meet in a time of 8:58. Claire DeVoe of Lincoln tied the CR of 10:33, when she claimed the main girl's title. Paige Rice won the sophomore race with the second best time of the day.

Allie Ostrander obliterated the course record at the Skyview Invitational and put herself on the national radar with her time of 17:53. Jenette Northey placed second in 18:46 & Lydia Blanchet took third. Cole Christiansen of Kodiak was impressive as well i winning the boys' race with 16:07 - the seventh fastest time ever on the course.
